Shell account
From OCF Help
A shell account refers to a text-mode interface where commands can be run interactively, like a command-prompt. All OCF accounts are eligible for shell account access. You can access your shell account by logging into the Solaris or Linux systems in the OCF laboratory or remotely via SSH.
We support the following commonly used shell account tools:
- SSH: allows you to access your shell account via an encrypted connection
- CVS: version control software
- Subversion: a modern replacement for CVS
- Cron: allows you to automatically execute commands on a regular and scheduled basis
- vim: a powerful and extensible text editor
If you need help with any of the commands available on our Solaris or Linux systems, you can consult the manpages.
